We are AWS, and our Amazon Dedicated Clouds team helps U.S. Intelligence Community and Defense customers implement innovative cloud solutions for air-gapped regions. The role is based in Seattle, Washington, with a listed annual base salary range of $129,200 to $174,800, plus sign-on payments and restricted stock units.
- We require a bachelors degree or CSSLP certification.
- We are looking for at least 2 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- We need 1+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including patterns for reliability and scale.
- We expect knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals, such as networking, storage, and operating systems.
- We require programming experience in at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
- We require an active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility or higher.
- The selected candidate must currently hold and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance, and after starting must obtain and maintain TS/SCI with polygraph or equivalent clearance as required for each agency.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with distributed systems at scale.
- Preferred qualifications also include experience working with Linux/Unix.
- We troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve production software issues.
- We develop monitoring solutions to improve service visibility and reliability.
- We perform software maintenance and configuration tasks.
- We implement fixes for internally developed code across languages such as Perl, Ruby, C/C++, Java, and Python.
- We update, track, and close technical challenges in a timely manner.
- We collaborate with development teams on AWS projects.
- We enhance existing software and related capabilities.
- We automate support processes and document our systems.
- We require a bachelors degree or CSSLP certification.
