1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CloudOpsJobs (“we”, “us”, “our”) and our website, job board, and related services, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you are using the service on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company.
2. Description of Service
CloudOpsJobs is a job board focused on cloud operations roles: Platform Engineering, FinOps, MLOps, DevOps, and SRE. We offer employers the ability to post and promote job listings (subject to review and approval) and candidates the ability to browse jobs and subscribe to email alerts. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service with reasonable notice where feasible. Our site may use analytics (e.g. Google Analytics) as described in our Privacy Policy; you can control this via our cookie preferences.
3. Employer Obligations
When posting a job, you agree to:
- Provide accurate company and job information and keep it up to date
- Post only roles that fit our focus (cloud operations) and comply with our quality guidelines
- Not post false, misleading, discriminatory, or unlawful content
- Pay applicable fees in full and on time. Payment terms are as presented at checkout
- Comply with all applicable laws in the jurisdictions where you operate and where the job is targeted
We review job postings and may reject or remove any that violate our guidelines or these terms. Our Refund Policy explains when refunds are available for rejected paid posts.
4. Candidate and Visitor Obligations
When browsing jobs, subscribing to alerts, or otherwise using the service, you agree to use it only for lawful purposes. You will not scrape, harvest, or automate access to our data in a way that violates these terms or our systems’ fair use. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide (e.g., email for alerts).
5. Payments and Refunds
Fees for job postings and optional add-ons are as displayed at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe. Refunds are only available as described in our Refund Policy (including the 7-day appeal window for rejected paid jobs). We do not issue refunds for approved and published jobs or for change of mind.
6. Intellectual Property
The CloudOpsJobs brand, website design, and our original content are owned by us or our licensors. You may not use our trademarks or copy our service without our prior written consent. You retain ownership of the content you submit (e.g., job descriptions); by posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating the job board.
7. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We are not responsible for the conduct of employers, candidates, or third parties, or for the accuracy of job postings. You use the service at your own risk. We do not endorse any employer or job; you are responsible for your own hiring and job-search decisions.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CloudOpsJobs and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claims related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in such cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CloudOpsJobs and its affiliates and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your content, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights or law.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the service (e.g., your ability to post or manage jobs, or receive alerts) at any time, with or without cause or notice. You may stop using the service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) will survive.
11. Changes to the Terms
We may change these Terms of Service from time to time. We will post the revised terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated by email or a notice on the service where appropriate. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or the service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in these terms limits your right to seek relief in a small-claims court where applicable.
