This senior platform engineering role is part of our enterprise technology organization, focused on Azure-first cloud platforms, automation, reliability, and developer enablement. The salary range is $106,400-$126,350, with bonus and long-term incentive eligibility. - We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- We look for 7+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, systems engineering, or a similar technical field.
- We need experience designing, building, and operating cloud platforms in Azure or comparable enterprise cloud environments.
- We require strong scripting and automation skills with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- We need solid systems thinking and the ability to balance reliability, scalability, security, governance, cost, and developer experience.
- We expect the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly to engineering, architecture, security, operations, and business stakeholders.
- We value demonstrated ownership, accountability, and collaboration in complex enterprise settings.
- We need the ability to influence technical direction, platform standards, and engineering best practices without formal authority.
- We require experience with Kubernetes, containerized platforms, managed runtimes, or enterprise hosting environments.
- We expect hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, preferably Terraform.
- We need working knowledge of Azure services such as AKS, Azure Container Registry, Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Azure Policy, Azure networking, and managed identities.
- We require understanding of platform security principles, including identity, access management, secrets management, and policy-driven governance.
- We need experience with monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, dashboards, and incident analysis.
- We require experience building CI/CD automation with GitHub Actions or similar pipeline tools.
- We expect experience supporting enterprise source control platforms, including repository governance, branching strategies, and workflow standards.
- We need the ability to create clear technical documentation, standards, and operational runbooks.
- Preferred: experience with Datadog, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or Application Insights.
- Preferred: experience building reusable Terraform modules, platform templates, internal developer platforms, or GitHub Enterprise standards.
- Preferred: familiarity with GitOps, Helm, Kustomize, container security, service mesh concepts, FinOps, or cloud governance models.
- We design, build, and support shared platform services for enterprise application teams.
- We develop reusable platform patterns across Azure services, Kubernetes/container platforms, networking, identity, secrets management, and governance.
- We contribute to platform standards, reference architectures, and engineering best practices.
- We enable development teams with secure, scalable, and cost-effective platform solutions.
- We own the reliability, operability, and documentation of platform services.
- We improve observability through monitoring, dashboards, alerts, telemetry, and operational runbooks.
- We participate in incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
- We reduce recurring operational effort through automation, self-service tooling, and standardized solutions.
- We build automation-first solutions that improve delivery speed, consistency, and operational efficiency.
- We develop and maintain Terraform infrastructure modules and provisioning patterns.
- We create and maintain GitHub Actions workflows and deployment templates.
- We build repository standards, onboarding tooling, and developer self-service capabilities.
- We leverage approved AI-assisted engineering tools, including GitHub Copilot and OpenAI Codex, to improve quality, automation, and documentation.
- We identify and address reliability, scalability, performance, and operational risks across shared services.
- We strengthen platform resilience through automation, standardization, and service health visibility.
- We support cloud cost optimization through efficient architecture, lifecycle management, tagging, and right-sizing practices.
- We lead technical design discussions and mentor engineers on platform engineering best practices.
- We influence platform architecture, CI/CD standards, source control practices, automation, and engineering quality across teams.
- We partner cross-functionally with Software Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, Enterprise Architecture, and Operations teams.
- We drive platform maturity through reusable standards, documentation, templates, and implementation guidance.
