- A minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience. Typically requires 5 years or more of pertinent experience.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least eight years of related experience in cybersecurity, with a strong emphasis on data security and cloud architecture.
- Demonstrated experience in designing secure data architectures in AWS and/or Azure environments.
- Familiarity with Data Loss Prevention (DLP), data classification, and data governance technologies.
- Solid understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Zero Trust architecture principles.
- Expertise in securing cloud-native data services, storage solutions, and integration methods (APIs, ETL/ELT pipelines).
- Knowledge of encryption (at rest, in transit, in use), key management solutions, and secrets management.
- Insight into enterprise applications (ERP, supply chain systems) and considerations for data protection.
- Capability to lead architectural discussions and influence both technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication capabilities.
- Preferred certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, AWS/Azure Security Specialty, or TOGAF.
- Experience securing data in manufacturing or operational technology environments.
- Familiarity with large-scale cloud migration or modernization initiatives.
- Experience with DSPM, CASB, or cloud-native data protection tools across multi-cloud environments is an advantage.
- Develop and uphold enterprise data security architecture standards, models, and roadmaps to safeguard sensitive enterprise, operational, and manufacturing data.
- Create and execute data protection controls across AWS and Azure, including data classification, encryption, key management, DLP/DSPM, data activity monitoring, and governance of structured and unstructured data access.
- Establish secure data architecture designs for data lakes, analytics platforms, ERP systems, SaaS applications, and AI/ML workloads.
- Architect secure data transmission between enterprise IT and operational technology/manufacturing systems (ERP, MES, SCADA, etc.).
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Engineering, Data Engineering, DevOps, Application Security, Compliance, and OT Security teams to integrate data security into platform architecture and lifecycle processes.
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to security engineers and analysts.
- Assess new data security tools, technologies, and controls, contributing to vendor strategy and standards.
