Senior Platform Engineer - API Development

- Minimum of 4 years relevant work experience
- Typically requires 5 years or more of relevant experience
- Proven experience with API management platforms such as Kong, Broadcom Layer7, Google Apigee, or similar technologies
- Strong understanding of API gateway architecture, traffic management, rate limiting, and security policies
- Expertise in API lifecycle management including design, publishing, versioning, and retirement
- Hands-on experience with authentication and authorization standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect)
- Proficiency in automation and scripting for API deployment and configuration (Python, Shell, Ansible)
- Familiarity with CI/CD integration and DevOps practices for API platforms
- Knowledge of monitoring and analytics for API performance and usage (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
- Exposure to cloud-native API solutions and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to lead complex API platform initiatives

- Design, develop, and maintain digital technology infrastructure to support IT applications and services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features to fulfill user requirements and business objectives
- Upgrade existing platforms to enhance performance and functionality through clean, efficient, and scalable coding
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues related to software applications
- Lead the application of internal software deployment platforms, continuous integration, and continuous delivery pipelines to automate deployment processes
- Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to gather complex requirements and deliver effective solutions
- Write and maintain complex unit and integration tests, performing debugging to ensure software quality and performance
- Recommend improvements for the software development and deployment processes to enhance efficiency and reliability
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for complex software applications, deployment processes, and system configurations
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for complex issues with deployed applications to minimize downtime and ensure fast resolution
