Infrastructure Engineer @ Cherokee Federal

Salary: $140,000 - 175,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.
• We look for 3 to 5 years of experience with network and security concepts, system performance configuration, or an equivalent blend of education and hands-on experience.
• We require 6 to 8 years of professional Microsoft cloud services experience, including O365, SharePoint, Teams, and Exchange.
• We need advanced knowledge of Salesforce and ServiceNow.
• We expect advanced expertise in O365 rollout, upgrade, and support.
• We require advanced knowledge of Azure cloud services, including transition, migration, architecture, support, and rollout.
• We seek advanced experience with cloud virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, VMware Realize Solutions, Microsoft VMM, Windows Azure, and Amazon Web Services.
• We require advanced knowledge of Microsoft identity and access management, including Azure AD, ADFS, and SSO.
• We look for strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to deliver effective technical solutions.
• We need someone who can manage multiple priorities, plan and schedule effectively, and deliver high-profile projects.
• We expect the ability to work independently with limited direction.
• We require the ability to prioritize and execute under intense pressure.
• We look for adaptability in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities.
• We need someone who can collaborate across IT and non-IT teams, stay approachable, and receive feedback constructively.

Responsibilities:

• We define and document best practices and strategies for application deployment and infrastructure upkeep.
• We provide guidance, thought leadership, and mentoring to development teams to strengthen cloud capabilities.
• We complete assigned cloud services tickets.
• We partner with systems and database administrators to implement cloud architectures aligned with industry best practices.
• We deploy and configure technologies and related software.
• We implement cloud policies and disaster recovery and archiving procedures to protect storage systems and data integrity.
• We establish appropriate user access controls for stored data.
• We support service level agreement commitments related to security and availability.
• We review and deploy cloud releases and vendor patches in line with best practices.
• We follow change control, incident response, and testing procedures for cloud changes and software updates.
• We anticipate, reduce, investigate, and resolve issues affecting cloud services, storage access, and data retrieval.
• We research cloud products, services, and standards and make recommendations to support procurement and development.
• We monitor, analyze, and forecast infrastructure performance, capacity, and data growth, then recommend improvements to the storage team.
• We maintain cloud support and architecture documentation.
• We provide off-hours support for cloud services administration as needed.
• We deliver regular status updates on an agreed schedule.
• We perform other related duties as assigned.
