Job Description

We are FCS Financial, an organization with deep roots in agriculture and rural communities across Missouri. As part of the Farm Credit System, we have supported our members for more than 100 years. This DevOps Engineer role sits within our Information Systems department and reports to the Vice President, Technical Operations, with no direct reports. We offer a competitive salary range of $87,500 to $151,000, incentive opportunities tied to association performance, a comprehensive benefits package, growth opportunities, and a collaborative hybrid work environment within our Loan Servicing Area. Our preferred office location is Jefferson City, Missouri, and we will also consider other Missouri branch locations.

- Associates degree in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent mix of education and experience
- At least 5 years of experience in enterprise technical systems administration and implementation in a similar capacity
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, CI/CD pipeline practices, and scripting or programming
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms and infrastructure
- Practical knowledge of monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS environments
- Working knowledge of security fundamentals and encryption
- Ability to build and use testing environments and test plans to verify application performance
- Strong listening skills and the ability to understand customer issues and drive resolution
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for technical and cross-functional audiences
- Ability to analyze complex technical information using logic and quantitative reasoning
- Skill in prioritizing work to meet deadlines
- Proven experience with Bicep, Terraform, ARM templates, Octopus, Deploy, AutoRABIT ARM, Azure, DevOps, and Git
- Experience working in structured delivery environments using sprint cycles, time-boxed work, and metrics-based tracking
- Ability to coordinate across teams and manage dependencies to meet milestones
- Candidates must reside in Missouri

- Design, build, and maintain automated CI/CD systems that support efficient code testing and deployment
- Customize solutions through configuration updates or targeted development to meet business needs
- Develop and configure pipelines across internal, cloud-based, and third-party systems to enable data sharing and automated processes
- Allocate and manage computing, storage, and networking resources to support applications and services
- Document both new and existing systems and solutions
- Support cloud initiatives by designing and implementing the required technology configuration
- Improve scalability, reliability, and security while staying within budget
- Deploy applications, manage configurations, and orchestrate containers across environments
- Coordinate with our IS team to maintain cloud-based and internal production and non-production configurations
- Troubleshoot issues across internal, cloud, and third-party systems and implement the right changes or configurations to resolve them
- Make support decisions about issue scope and determine appropriate resolutions
- Evaluate new platforms, tools, practices, and methodologies and recommend integration approaches that strengthen our environment
- Research and prototype cloud and integration solutions to assess fit for our organization
- Stay current on emerging cloud technologies, platforms, and trends to continually improve operations
- Implement and enforce security policies, best practices, and compliance requirements to protect sensitive data and infrastructure
- Monitor environments for vulnerabilities and take independent action to reduce or remediate risk
