Job Description

We are a team building a secure, scalable, and resilient cloud foundation in Microsoft Azure. This is a hands-on Senior Azure Platform & Resiliency Engineer role that blends cloud architecture, infrastructure engineering, and site reliability principles to help our engineering teams deploy and operate workloads consistently and safely. Success in this role means delivering a well-governed Azure platform, fully automated infrastructure, strong recovery capabilities, clear observability, and reduced operational toil through automation.

- We need at least 6 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE roles.
- We are looking for strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure architecture and services.
- We require proven experience designing and implementing Azure landing zones.
- We need deep proficiency with Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code tools.
- We expect a solid understanding of Azure networking, including VNet, peering, DNS, and private access.
- We require experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- We need scripting capability in Python, PowerShell, or a similar language.
- Experience with Kubernetes or AKS is preferred.
- Familiarity with Azure Front Door, Traffic Manager, or global routing is preferred.
- Experience implementing Azure Policy at scale is preferred.
- Exposure to chaos engineering or resilience testing tools is preferred.
- Understanding of FinOps or cloud cost optimization is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, or Terraform Associate are preferred.

- We will design and implement Azure landing zones aligned with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework.
- We will define and manage management group and subscription strategy, RBAC and identity models, and Azure Policy governance controls.
- We will build and maintain shared platform services, including networking, logging, and identity.
- We will develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM.
- We will create reusable modules for networking, compute, storage, and other platform services.
- We will integrate infrastructure-as-code workflows into GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps pipelines.
- We will design high-availability and multi-region architectures.
- We will define and implement disaster recovery strategies, including RTO and RPO targets.
- We will conduct failover testing and validate resilience.
- We will establish and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and other reliability metrics.
- We will design and support event-driven and serverless solutions using Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Event Grid, and Service Bus.
- We will ensure distributed systems are scalable, fault tolerant, and observable.
- We will implement monitoring and logging with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- We will define effective alerting strategies and reduce noise through meaningful thresholds.
- We will support incident response and lead post-incident reviews.
- We will partner with security teams to implement identity-first architecture, network security, and secrets management.
- We will ensure our infrastructure meets compliance and audit requirements.
