Job Description
We are hiring a Senior Cyber Security / DevOps Systems Engineer to help us engineer, secure, automate, and optimize mission-critical enterprise solutions. In this on-site role based in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, you will support modernization efforts across on-premises environments through container orchestration, CI/CD development, infrastructure automation, security enhancement, testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement. The position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact systems while collaborating within a technically driven environment focused on current industry standards and best practices. The posted salary range is USD $160,000 to $165,000 per year.
- We require a high school diploma or equivalent, along with 9+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- We require an active TS/SCI clearance.
- We need demonstrated expertise in DevOps or systems engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- We require hands-on experience with on-premises DevOps toolchains, including GitLab, offline registry management, Rancher, Kubernetes cluster administration, and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and Ansible.
- We require working knowledge of DevOps cybersecurity practices, risk mitigation, and operational security.
- We require proficiency in secure Python programming for automation and scripting.
- We require experience with Git/GitHub-based continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows, including source control, automated builds, and deployment pipelines.
- We require Linux administration experience, with a preference for Debian-based systems.
- We require a solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
- We require experience integrating software into air-gapped or isolated environments.
- We require familiarity with API design, development, and integration into operational workflows.
- We require strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- A bachelors degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
- We prefer certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CySA+, and Kubernetes credentials including KCNA, KCSA, CKA, CKAD, or CKS.
- We value experience automating STIG implementation and vulnerability remediation.
- We prefer experience integrating Splunk and Forward Networks into deployment pipelines.
- We engineer and automate containerized application environments, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring capabilities to support full-stack automation.
- We build infrastructure-as-code solutions and automated software quality assurance processes using current industry standards.
- We integrate newly acquired software and hardware into existing enterprise environments.
- We evaluate cybersecurity controls and advise on security improvements across software and hardware platforms.
- We implement security measures to safeguard systems, applications, and data.
- We test and assess cyberspace systems to ensure reliability, security, and readiness.
- We troubleshoot and resolve complex issues affecting on-premises systems.
- We update, configure, and maintain system components to optimize customer solutions.
- We stay current on evolving technologies, best practices, countermeasures, and industry standards.
- We correlate threat data from multiple sources to identify malicious actors and their tactics.
- We prepare cyber threat assessments, reports, and profiles to improve situational awareness.
- We may support computer forensics, evidence handling, data recovery, and network assessment activities.
- We research emerging vulnerabilities, data-hiding methods, network security practices, and encryption trends.
