We are seeking a Technology Architect who will report directly to the Vice President of Technology in our McLean, Virginia office. This full-time position will collaborate closely with our government partners to address their technology challenges. Our goal is to leverage innovative solutions from the venture-backed startup sector to deliver effective and compelling technologies. We prioritize a collaborative and dynamic work environment where technical expertise meets real-world challenges. - U.S. Citizenship is required due to contractual obligations - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience) is preferred - Over 5 years of professional experience, including supervising a technology development initiative in a business or intelligence environment - Proven expertise in areas such as secure software development, embedded systems security, cryptography, vulnerability assessment, endpoint security, network security, cloud security, and malware analysis - Previous experience in negotiating milestone-based Statements of Work contracts - Candidates with an active top-secret clearance are preferred; at a minimum, candidates must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information - A commitment to learning about new technologies and their strategic benefits - Practical development experience in one or more of the following: programming in Python, JavaScript, Golang, or Rust; assembly code programming in VHDL; cloud computing platforms such as GCP, AWS, and Azure; REST APIs; and machine learning techniques - Ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, summarize findings, and present recommendations to non-technical stakeholders - Experience in startup or entrepreneurial settings, demonstrating the ability to excel in a non-traditional environment - Comfort in presenting intricate technology topics to both technical and non-technical audiences - Previous work with the US Intelligence Community is a plus - Strong writing skills, with experience in both technical and proposal/contract writing being preferred - Identify emerging technology domains for investment and conduct technical diligence on various complementary investments in those areas - Develop and negotiate Statements of Work contracts between our organization and startup companies - Provide technical oversight on work programs and assess their deliverables; communicate paths for resolving issues to key stakeholders and leadership - Utilize technical and market expertise along with government partner use cases to discover new topics and oversee the development of Market Surveys and Global Competitive Analysis products - Guide the creation of technology architectures and solutions that address the challenges faced by our government partners - Offer thought leadership in one or more areas of subject matter expertise - Collaborate with clients on strategies for technology adoption in the development of multiple work programs within a government partner mission area
