AI Platform DevSecOps Engineer @ Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL)

Salary: $100,000 - 245,000 per year

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of three years of experience in software deployment across Windows and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (such as Docker or Podman) and orchestration tools (like Kubernetes).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Experience in vulnerability scanning and remediation strategies.
• Proficient in Bash or another scripting language.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially in resource-constrained environments.
• Eligible to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by the start date and ultimately qualify for a TS/SCI level clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a secure library of containerized software and supporting stacks.
• Implement automated pipelines for container builds, testing, and validation to ensure compatibility with various operating systems and architectures.
• Design and manage Kubernetes-based infrastructure while maintaining well-documented and reproducible deployment configurations.
• Optimize system performance and reliability in constrained environments.
• Create processes for continuous scanning of containers and their dependencies to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with evolving security standards.
• Adapt deployment strategies to align with ATO and accreditation requirements while troubleshooting environment-specific deployment challenges across DoD and IC systems.
