Cloud Software Engineer

- We require a bachelors degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, a graduate degree with at least 2 years of related experience, or 8+ years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree.
- We need the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
- We look for at least 2 years of experience as a cloud software developer.
- We value 2+ years of object-oriented programming experience in languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
- We prefer hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying microservices in Kubernetes-based platforms such as EKS or OpenShift.
- We expect familiarity with microservice design patterns and cloud environments centered on containerized workloads, databases, and object storage.
- We seek 1+ years of Java development experience, including web services, JMS, application servers, and JavaScript work with strong NodeJS or ReactJS knowledge.
- We prefer 1+ years of experience developing applications that use relational and NoSQL databases.
- We value practical experience using cloud services for application delivery and deployment, including CLI tools, configuration files, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- We look for experience with DevOps platforms and workflows such as Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Git, Nexus, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation.
- We prefer cloud certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or an equivalent credential from another cloud provider.
- We value knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, XML, REST and SOAP web services, scripting with Python or Bash, and the ability to write clean, testable, and efficient code.

- We expect you to build cloud-based applications and configure deployment environments so cloud and non-cloud components work together seamlessly.
- We need you to implement solutions that align with program needs as well as our broader cloud technology vision and roadmap.
- We rely on you to apply DevOps principles and best practices to strengthen our automated build, test, and release pipelines.
- We want you to support applications and tools operationally so we can meet high availability targets and service-level commitments.
- We expect you to contribute to reliable, resilient telecommunications and information management capabilities for mission-critical operations.
- We want you to help develop secure communication and information-sharing solutions for air traffic control, air-to-ground data exchange, situational awareness, and state agency support.
- We may ask you to coach teammates on engineering quality and best practices.
