- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance with the potential to achieve TS/SCI in the future.
- Bachelors Degree combined with nine (9) years of relevant programming experience.
- Graduate Degree with seven (7) years of relevant programming experience.
- Alternatively, at least 13 years of programming experience in the absence of a degree.
- Proven background as a Database Engineer or in a comparable position.
- Experience in Linux System Administration, particularly with Red Hat or similar environments.
- Solid understanding of database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Oracle.
- Proficient in utilizing DevOps tools and methodologies, particularly CI/CD pipelines.
- Skilled in scripting and automation with languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiar with configuration management frameworks such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Knowledgeable about cloud services (Oracle, AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Preferred: Understanding of data warehousing and big data frameworks.
- Desired: Certifications in cloud technologies or database management solutions.
- Preferred: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.

- Design, develop, and maintain database infrastructure using DevOps methodologies.
- Automate the processes for database deployment, scaling, and management.
- Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms to ensure database performance and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers to facilitate CI/CD pipelines.
- Diagnose and resolve database-related challenges promptly and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with security standards for our database environments.
- Continuously enhance processes and tools to improve the efficiency and dependability of database operations.
- Oversee backup, recovery, and data archival strategies.
- Engage in all stages of the software development life cycle, from requirements gathering to testing.
- Produce well-structured, testable code adhering to software design best practices.
- Address customer queries by analyzing and troubleshooting complex issues.
