We at L3Harris are excited to announce an opening for a seasoned Cloud Software Architect to enhance our Mission Networks team, which is dedicated to ensuring secure, reliable, and resilient telecommunications. Our team is focused on developing critical communication capabilities relevant to air traffic control and secure data sharing with state agencies. We utilize top-tier Cloud Service Providers such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud to offer cutting-edge solutions. In this role, you will be integral to the full system development lifecycle, helping us improve our offerings continuously. - Bachelors Degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience
- Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of related experience
- 16 years of software experience in lieu of a degree
- Minimum 5 years leading software teams to develop enterprise solutions utilizing RESTful Web Services, Microservices, and/or Cloud components (AWS preferred)
- 3 years of experience with Cloud Service Providers to host Cloud-based solutions involving Cloud Computing, Containers, VPC, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Security Groups
- 3 years designing scalable infrastructures and automated deployments in Cloud environments using tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes
- AWS Solutions Architect and AWS SysOps certifications preferred
- Kubernetes Administrator certification is a plus
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar
- Experience in developing applications utilizing relational and NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MariaDB, InfluxDB, EnterpriseDB)
- Familiarity with IaC tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Puppet, or Ansible
- Knowledge of iterative software development methods (Agile, SCRUM, Kanban)

- Collaborate with internal and external clients to design, develop, and deploy Cloud architectures that fulfill system requirements
- Engage with the Business Development team to draft white papers, conduct trade studies, and prepare technical responses for proposals and new projects
- Interface with clients to gather use cases, define requirements, and design Cloud-capable solutions
- Support system-level testing and field solutions in customer environments to accomplish mission objectives
- Leverage expertise in hosting solutions within Cloud environments
- Architect large-scale distributed systems utilizing microservices and containers
- Provide direct assistance to team members in executing the development of awarded programs
- Create and maintain virtualized, containerized, and/or Cloud-ready environments for software teams
- Conduct regular updates to components and tools to ensure security and compliance
- Work with security teams to establish and maintain security controls
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert in Cloud, Microservices, IaC, and DevSecOps, guiding teams in delivering enterprise solutions
