Senior Cloud Software Engineer

We are the Mission Networks team at L3Harris, delivering modern, secure, reliable, and resilient telecommunications networks and information management systems. Our work supports air traffic control, air-to-ground data communications, secure access to situational awareness data, and secure information sharing to state agencies. We leverage major cloud service providers, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, to build modern solutions that support customer operations and information management services. - We require a bachelors degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with 0 to 2 years of related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, we will consider candidates with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
- You must be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
- We are looking for at least 2 years of experience as a cloud software developer.
- We value 2 years of experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
- We prefer hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices in Kubernetes-based environments such as EKS or OpenShift.
- We look for knowledge of microservice architecture patterns and cloud environments focused on containerized workloads, databases, and object storage.
- We prefer 1 year of experience in Java development, including web services, JMS, and application servers, as well as JavaScript development with strong NodeJS or ReactJS knowledge.
- We seek 1 year of experience building applications that use relational and NoSQL databases.
- We value hands-on experience using cloud services for application development and deployment, including CLI tools and configuration files for infrastructure as code.
- Experience with DevOps tools and practices such as Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Git, Nexus, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation is preferred.
- An AWS Certified Solutions Architect credential, or an equivalent certification from another cloud provider, is a plus.
- We look for familiarity with JavaScript, jQuery, XML, web services such as REST and SOAP, scripting languages such as Python and Bash, and the ability to produce well-designed, testable, efficient code.

- We design, develop, and integrate cloud software applications within an Agile environment.
- We build cloud-based applications and configure deployment environments to enable end-to-end integration between cloud and non-cloud components.
- We implement solutions that align with program needs and our cloud technology vision and roadmap.
- We apply DevOps principles and best practices to improve automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
- We provide operational support for applications and tools to help maintain high availability and other service-level commitments.
