- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with 2 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, at least 8 years of relevant experience without a degree.
- Proficient in developing and deploying containerized applications using Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, or similar tools.
- Experience working in Linux environments, including scripting, configuration, and software deployment.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CDK, OpenTofu, Cloud Formation).
- Oversee and implement updates from AWS and third-party vendors.
- Maintain and improve our Kubernetes-based cloud architecture.
- Utilize programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Support Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions which may include single sign-on, Active Directory, or Keycloak.
- Assist in migrating applications to the cloud.
- Draft and maintain thorough documentation for developers, administrators, and operators.
- Ensure consistency across the codebase, including version tagging and naming conventions.
- Apply networking principles and security best practices within an AWS cloud environment.
- Design and develop new software or modify existing software to incorporate new features.
- Obtain a High-Risk NOAA Public Trust clearance as needed.
