This Cloud Engineer role supports our DOMEX Technology Platform in Bethesda, MD, with most work performed on-site and a flexible schedule that may include occasional remote tasks. The pay range for this position is $107,900 to $195,050, with final compensation based on responsibilities, experience, skills, education, and other relevant factors.

- We require a bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience with 8–12 years in systems engineering or a similar field; a masters degree with 6+ years of experience is also acceptable.
- We require an active Top Secret/SCI clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI with polygraph access.
- We require at least one DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification, such as Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, SSCP, or CISSP Associate.
- We require the ability to obtain Privileged User Account certification under DoD 8570 policy.
- We require experience with Commercial Cloud Services and a strong understanding of secure cloud environments.
- We require familiarity with classified security enclaves.
- We require hands-on experience with cloud services for enterprise applications, preferably AWS.
- We require AWS administration knowledge, including EC2, ELB/ALB, S3, EFS, VPC, AWS CLI, and cloud fundamentals.
- We require experience with Amazon EKS.
- We require experience with container platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- We require experience with SecDevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- We require working knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- We require familiarity with web services, including APIs and REST.
- We require a strong understanding of networking and internet protocols.
- We require extensive experience with open-source technologies, software development, and systems engineering.
- We require scripting and tooling experience with UNIX shell, Python, Perl, or similar languages.
- We require infrastructure-as-code scripting experience, preferably with CDK or CloudFormation.
- We require configuration management experience with Salt or a similar tool such as Ansible.
- We require strong written and verbal communication skills to work with customers, domain experts, systems engineers, and architects.
- We require the ability to collaborate effectively with people from diverse disciplines and technical backgrounds.
- We consider AWS cloud certifications, microservices architecture experience, data processing knowledge, big data application experience, support experience for DIA/NMEC, DIA/OSIC, or D3P, and OSINT familiarity as strong advantages.

- We design, engineer, develop, deploy, and support cloud-based software for the DOMEX Technology Platform.
- We help centralize and standardize TCPED workflows for OSINT across the DoD and Intelligence Community enterprise.
- We integrate commercial and newly developed software to strengthen and sustain the TCPED platform.
- We use cloud computing, AI, machine learning, and cross-domain transfer systems to deliver advanced data exploitation, enrichment, triage, and analytics capabilities.
- We work on mission-focused big data analytics tools and microservice development across Agile sprints and long-term R&D efforts.
- We design, build, maintain, and support cloud infrastructure.
- We collaborate with cloud architects, solution architects, systems engineers, software engineers, operations leaders, and government stakeholders to manage our cloud solution and strategy.
- We prepare and maintain associated technical documentation.
- We identify and implement the most effective cloud-based solutions for the program.
- We deploy and troubleshoot cloud initiatives throughout the development lifecycle.
- We apply strong problem-solving skills to resolve technical challenges.
- We build and design cloud-based web services.
- We design and implement cloud platforms for the program.
- We coordinate with the DTP team to prioritize product backlogs for sprints and releases.
- We monitor and report technical variances and help resolve issues that could affect product delivery or total system cost.
- We identify and support external dependencies as needed.
