Senior DevOps Engineer

We are Leidos Spatial Solutions Division, and we have an exciting opportunity for a senior DevOps Engineer supporting mission-critical systems that enable NGAs GEOINT mission by collecting sciences, technology, and tradecraft to measure and model the globe with three-dimensional accuracy. This role is onsite in Alexandria, Chantilly, Gaithersburg, or St. Louis, with up to half-time telework to help balance productivity and flexibility. - We require a BS in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a masters degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
- We require an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph after hire.
- We require U.S. citizenship.
- We are looking for a proactive self-starter with a positive, can-do mindset and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- We require experience with custom code development and code reviews.
- We require familiarity with GitLab functionality, error codes, and scripting.
- We require experience using AWS services and technologies such as CloudFormation, S3, ECS, and EKS.
- We require experience with AWS serverless architectures, including Lambda, API Gateway, load balancing, and autoscaling.
- We require experience supporting development testing.
- We require experience with cloud-based architectures.
- We require a solid understanding of DevSecOps practices and workflows.
- We require experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- We require knowledge of software development and sustainment practices.
- We require experience using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.

- We support deployment of microservices through a DevSecOps pipeline in a Linux-based, multi-tenant environment.
- We design, implement, and secure virtual networks in AWS.
- We implement VPC connectivity and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- We develop, update, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipeline code.
- We configure, troubleshoot, and deploy Docker containers.
- We review code in Git and create or extract engineering documentation as needed.
- We support developer deployments and testing activities.
- We provide technical guidance across capabilities and microservices.
- We create and maintain DevOps documentation.
- We perform security remediation based on scan results.
- We handle other assigned tasks as needed.
