DevOps Developer

We are MANTECH, and we are seeking a motivated, customer-focused DevOps Developer to join our team in Herndon, VA. In this role, you will help optimize our CI/CD pipeline, automate customer tasks, and tune our environments for greater efficiency, performance, and scalability. You will also contribute to software feature development and architecture design as part of a collaborative, fast-moving team of Software Developers, Systems Development Engineers, and Data Engineers. We value experience with Kubernetes, AWS certifications, JavaScript/ECMAScript, RESTful APIs, cloud security strategies, and file ingestion pipelines.

- We require a bachelors degree, or 4+ additional years of IT experience in place of a degree.
- We require 10+ years of hands-on full-stack software development experience.
- We require experience working in Amazon Web Services environments.
- We require experience administering Linux or Windows systems.
- We require familiarity with Elasticsearch-based architectures.
- We require strong problem-solving skills along with clear verbal and written communication abilities for collaboration across a large team.
- We require an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- We require the ability to meet physical demands such as remaining stationary for extended periods, moving within the office and lab areas, working in server spaces, and communicating regularly with teammates and customers.

- We deploy and provision AWS resources such as EC2, S3, RDS, EBS, ELB, IAM, Security Groups, CloudWatch, VPC, Route53, and Auto Scaling configurations.
- We build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins.
- We conduct vulnerability scanning, apply patches, and update cloud and physical systems to support operational security.
- We design, build, maintain, and resolve issues with Kubernetes clusters to keep development workflows running smoothly.
- We develop software features, with particular emphasis on ETL-related functionality.
- We evaluate, implement, and support new technologies, services, and capabilities that drive innovation and efficiency.
