- Bachelors degree with 5 years of relevant technical experience and 1 year in a leadership role, or
- Associates degree with 7 years of experience and 1 year in a leadership role, or
- High School diploma/GED with 9 years of experience and 1 year in a leadership role in a large, complex organization
- Proven ability to navigate multiple environments, including cloud and on-premise systems
- Functional knowledge of the cloud ecosystem and emerging cloud technologies
- Proficiency in applying engineering principles and technology in the design and production of services
- Familiarity with best practices in data center design
- Understanding of DevOps methodologies and workflows
- Capability to develop and present requirements, concepts of operations, and use cases
- Knowledge in managing and resolving technical issues
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to senior management
- Required certification in cloud engineering such as Google Associate Cloud Engineer, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or Terraform Associate

- Act as the technical lead for the team, guiding and mentoring engineering members
- Integrate enterprise architecture and security standards into solution design and implementation
- Collaborate with architects to develop well-defined architectural strategies
- Break down complex requests into actionable and well-structured solutions
- Ensure enterprise cloud solutions are optimized for functionality and cost
- Develop and oversee alignment with service level agreements (SLAs) or operational level agreements (OLAs)
- Create complex automation scripts using various tools
- Document new or modified solutions, including installation instructions and system information
- Manage the operations aspect of DevOps, collaborating with developers
- Implement and integrate cloud solutions across business and IT functions
- Evaluate enterprise cloud technology to identify improvement opportunities
- Work with security teams to maintain a secure technology environment
- Plan, validate, and ensure the maintenance of cloud solutions
- Establish governance for role-based access control and account management
- Develop estimates for time and costs related to cloud solutions
- Assess technical requirements for the impact of Cloud technologies on infrastructure
- Design the physical architecture for cloud-based solutions and infrastructure
