Network Security DevOps Engineer @ Motion Recruitment

Salary: $81,000 - 121,000 per year

Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ years of practical experience in network security.

• Proficiency with security platforms such as Cisco ASA, Fortinet FortiGate, and Juniper SRX.

• Solid understanding of networking principles including TCP/IP, OSI model, routing, switching, and ACLs.

• Familiarity with essential security technologies including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, authentication, encryption, and incident response.

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewall virtualization, VPNs, NAT, DNS, and IPS/IDS.

• Preferred certifications include Cisco CCNA/CCNP Security, Fortinet FCA/FCSS/NSE, and CISSP or GIAC (optional).

• Experience with DevOps tools such as GitHub, Terraform, Ansible, Python, REST APIs, Jenkins, and Jinja2.

• Hands-on knowledge of AWS and Azure network security services.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Strong exemplification of initiative and self-direction with a growth-oriented mindset.

• Ability to function independently within a global virtual team.

• Effective multitasking and prioritization skills with strong analytical problem-solving capabilities.

• Team-oriented with a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and oversee network security technologies and services across various environments including data centers and cloud.

• Investigate, assess, and recommend the latest industry best practices in network security technology.

• Operate and maintain network security appliances including Fortinet, Cisco, and Juniper, focusing on upgrades, patches, and lifecycle management.

• Construct and manage network security infrastructure utilizing DevOps practices and automation tools.

• Support our Zero-Ops automation vision by creating solutions to reduce manual tasks and enhance operational effectiveness.

• Engage in security operations activities such as monitoring, threat analysis, incident response, and vulnerability management.

• Analyze security advisories and vulnerabilities, providing prompt recommendations for mitigation.

• Participate in ad-hoc vulnerability assessments and incident response efforts.

• Collaborate with cybersecurity, network engineering, project teams, and internal customers to ensure seamless operations.

• Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and processes for continuous support.

• Take part in a global follow-the-sun on-call rotation for incident management.
