Job Description
We are seeking an accomplished DevOps Engineer to become an integral member of our team, focusing on refining development and operational processes. This role involves building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, automating testing and development workflows, and improving system observability and monitoring for optimal performance. We offer a competitive salary between $90,000 and $140,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes 401(k) plans with matching, dental and health insurance, flexible scheduling options, life insurance, paid time off, and vision coverage. This position is based on-site.
- U.S. citizenship is necessary and having an active secret clearance is advantageous. At minimum, candidates must be eligible for security clearance.
- Demonstrated experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Expertise in scripting and automation utilizing languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Background in containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proven experience in transitioning SVN repositories to Git.
- Understanding of AWS, especially their managed DevOps tools; experience with AWS GovCloud is a bonus.
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Acquainted with DevOps security practices, including vulnerability assessments and patch management.
- Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are valued.
- Awareness of compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2, and FedRAMP is preferable.
- Design, implement, and sustain effective CI/CD pipelines for our development and operations teams.
- Facilitate seamless integration and delivery workflows to enhance software release timelines.
- Automate routine tasks such as testing, building processes, and deployment operations.
- Utilize infrastructure-as-code (IaC) methodologies to effectively manage and scale our infrastructure.
- Create and improve system monitoring, logging, and alerting technologies to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Deploy observability tools to deliver actionable insights into application and system efficacy.
- Collaborate closely with IT, development, and operations teams to guarantee secure and smooth software rollouts.
- Advocate for the adoption of DevOps best practices throughout the organization.
- Enhance system performance, resource use, and application dependability.
- Diagnose and address infrastructure and application challenges to uphold system stability.
