DevOps Engineer with AWS and Docker Expertise @ Peraton

Salary: $112,000 - 179,000 per year

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Masters degree with 6+ years, or a PhD with 3+ years; additional 4 years of experience may substitute for the degree
• Proficient in Linux environments
• Skilled in scripting languages including Bash and Python
• Familiarity with Openshift or similar container environments
• Experience using Git for version control
• Knowledge of Kubernetes or OpenShift Container Platform
• Commitment to a DevSecOps environment with an Infrastructure as Code approach
• DoD IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security + CE, CISSP)
• TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph

Responsibilities:

• Develop CI/CD build and deployment pipelines
• Modify and write Jenkins-based Groovy scripts
• Update and write Terraform scripts
• Troubleshoot pipeline issues in on-prem, Openshift, and AWS environments
• Document key features for development teams
• Assist in writing and maintaining process improvement scripts (e.g., stage/unstage builds, branch tagging automation)
• Utilize Helm charts to deploy containerized microservices
• Integrate various tools into the CI/CD pipeline
• Collaborate with development teams to incorporate new microservices and troubleshoot as needed
• Automate the installation of COTS products within the architecture
• Debug integration-related issues
• Identify deployment problems, such as intermittent connectivity from an API server to the database
• Monitor services and develop scripts to ensure proper functioning
• Facilitate DevOps tool integration (e.g., SonarQube, Fortify, Jenkins, Robot Framework/Selenium, Artifactory)
