Junior Cloud Engineer (AWS/Azure) @ Peraton

Salary: $66,000 - 106,000 per year

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM field, or up to 6 years of relevant experience as a Cloud Engineer in lieu of a degree.
• Junior-level (0 to 6 years) experience in either government or industry supporting or leading cloud engineering initiatives.
• Proficient in using:
• - Jenkins CI/CD
• - GitLab
• - JavaScript
• Current TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain it and successfully pass a polygraph interrogation.
• One or more Cloud Certifications preferred:
• - AWS Certified Developer - Associate
• - AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional
• - Cloud Foundry Developer
• Familiarity with scripting/automation using PowerShell, VBscript, AutoIT, Python, or similar tools.

Responsibilities:

• Apply principles of cloud native development as outlined in The Twelve-Factor App through a systematic, engineering-driven approach to design, architecture, requirements gathering, development, and operations of cloud technologies and platforms for mission-critical solutions.
• Utilize software, platform, and infrastructure as a service to deliver GEOINT solutions.
• Ensure maximum efficiency in the usage of cloud services.
• Integrate systems by developing new Application Program Interfaces (APIs).
• Establish and maintain automated software deployment pipelines leveraging Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools.
• Monitor cloud utilization and identify areas for improvement to support continuous process enhancements for a resilient cloud environment.
