Systems Engineer - Cloud & Infrastructure @ Peraton

Salary: $112,000 - 179,000 per year

Requirements:

• Must possess a minimum of a Top Secret clearance and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or upon customer request
• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in System Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Software Engineering, or a related Science or Engineering field
• At least 8 years of system engineering experience with a Bachelors degree or 6 years with a Masters degree, including independent testing, data verification, and developing concepts of operations
• Familiarity with sensor imaging systems, products, and exploitation processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in briefing for decision-making and addressing technical issues, as well as crafting test plans and reports
• Ability to function autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Eagerness to learn, solve problems, and adapt in a fast-paced work setting
• Experience with remote sensing phenomenologies (e.g., EO/IR/SAR) is preferred
• Knowledge of the NSG tasking, collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination (TCPED) image chain is desirable
• Experience conducting product quality assessments, including visual or metadata evaluations

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and execution of test development and data definition for new and existing products within the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG)
• Develop clear and concise test plans to fulfill specified test objectives
• Collaborate with a team of image scientists, analysts, photogrammetrists, and statisticians to carry out designated tasks, monitor issues, and effectively communicate status and results to various stakeholders
• Conduct verification and validation of product visual quality alongside the accuracy of support data
• Design tests to confirm product compliance with established requirements and operational plans
• Engage in proactive problem-solving and maintain adaptability in a dynamic operational context
