Azure Cloud Network Engineer

We are a team focused on designing, implementing, and supporting Azure networking solutions that enable secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments. In this contract-to-hire remote role, you will support critical enterprise applications while helping us maintain reliable connectivity, strong security, and optimal performance across cloud and hybrid workloads. This is a telecommute position with standard daytime hours, and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that may include medical, prescription, dental, vision, AD&D, life insurance, short-term disability, and a 401K plan, subject to eligibility.

- We require 6+ years of enterprise-level experience in network engineering.
- We require 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure virtual networks, subnets, and network security groups.
- We require 3+ years of experience building and managing infrastructure with Terraform.
- We require 2+ years of experience supporting hybrid connectivity solutions such as VPN and ExpressRoute.
- We require 2+ years of experience configuring cloud load balancing, application gateways, or traffic management tools.
- We require the ability to pass a mandatory U.S. government background check before starting.
- We prefer prior experience with network security controls, including firewalls and network segmentation.
- We prefer experience monitoring and resolving complex networking issues in cloud or hybrid environments.
- We prefer relevant certifications such as Azure Network Engineer Associate or Terraform Associate.
- We value strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

- We design and deploy Azure networking foundations, including virtual networks, subnets, and network security groups.
- We manage hybrid connectivity solutions such as VPN and ExpressRoute to maintain secure, dependable links between on-premises and Azure environments.
- We configure and support application delivery services, including Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway, and Traffic Manager.
- We implement private access to Azure services using private endpoints and service endpoints.
- We develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions with Terraform to automate and standardize Azure network deployments.
- We strengthen cloud network security by implementing firewalls, network security groups, and related controls.
- We monitor Azure network environments to detect issues early, reduce risk, and sustain performance and availability.
- We troubleshoot and resolve networking and connectivity problems across Azure and hybrid environments.
