Job Description

We are looking for a talented and experienced Cloud Engineer to join our dedicated team. This role is pivotal in designing, executing, and maintaining our cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions within AWS and Azure environments. We prefer local candidates, as you will need to be onsite in our downtown Atlanta office 2-3 days a week. - 2-3 years of experience in cloud engineering and infrastructure support.
- Practical experience with cloud architecture, deployment, and migrations in AWS and Azure.
- Solid understanding of networking principles and enterprise IT infrastructure management.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Awareness of IT security standards, particularly in regulated environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL and DevOps best practices.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication abilities.
- Experience working with or within public sector/government agencies is advantageous.

- Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of hybrid cloud setups utilizing AWS and Azure.
- Coordinate and implement transitions from on-premises data centers to cloud services.
- Act as a senior Systems Administrator, managing the entire IT service lifecycle, including design, transition, operations, and continuous improvement.
- Configure and oversee LAN/WAN systems, including firewalls, routers, route tables, ACLs, and DNS settings.
- Provide support for enterprise systems such as:
- Application Servers: JBOSS, Tomcat
- Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Amazon Aurora, and other DBaaS solutions
- Operating Systems: Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Unix
- Load Balancers and Storage Solutions
- Develop automation scripts for provisioning and systems administration (e.g., using PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Integrate third-party applications and hardware into secure, interconnected environments.
- Engage in capacity planning and contribute to strategies for disaster recovery and business continuity.
- Apply ITIL and DevOps principles to enhance service delivery and operations.
- Collaborate with development teams to facilitate CI/CD pipelines and ensure infrastructure adheres to SDLC standards.
- Diagnose complex system problems and implement effective solutions.
- Monitor infrastructure performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Integrate systems with Active Directory and uphold security and compliance standards.
- Stay updated on cybersecurity best practices and implement them in cloud/infrastructure settings.
- Communicate effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Occasionally travel within the state to various agency locations as needed.
