Cloud DevOps Engineer (AWS/Azure)

We are urgently looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer for a 12-month 1099 contract position based in a hybrid model, requiring two days in the office. Our project focuses on transitioning to a Full Infrastructure as Code (IaC) model to create reproducible, scalable, and secure environments. In this role, you will take ownership of the entire delivery process of infrastructure components using Terraform, working closely with our team to modernize and automate our cloud infrastructure.

- 3+ years of substantial, hands-on experience with Terraform
- Extensive knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP services (EC2/VMs, S3/Blob, RDS, VPC/VNet)
- Strong skills in automation scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go
- Experience with container orchestration and management using Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE) or Docker
- Proficient in Git, including branching strategies, PR reviews, and conflict resolution

- Maintain and automate our cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Architect, write, and maintain complex Terraform modules for resource provisioning
- Standardize Terraform state management and implement CI/CD workflow for Plan/Apply
- Refactor existing manual infrastructure into version-controlled Terraform code
- Build automated deployment pipelines that integrate Terraform validations and deployments
- Ensure security by implementing Secure-by-Design principles in Terraform configurations
- Generate comprehensive documentation and runbooks for all provisioned modules
