SRE Engineer with Unix experience, onsite

- Experience as a UNIX system administrator or Wintel administrator
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Perl, or Shell)
- Strong understanding of both UNIX and Windows operating systems
- Familiarity with storage environments, file systems, and network protocols
- In-depth knowledge of UNIX principles, file editing, commands, and file manipulation
- Comprehension of networking concepts including routing, subnets, TCP, IP, VLANs, and UDP
- Awareness of backup strategies and storage management
- Exceptional troubleshooting abilities

- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless system operations
- Execute monitoring and maintenance tasks on UNIX and Windows systems
- Develop and optimize scripts for various operational needs
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the infrastructure
- Maintain documentation of systems and procedures
- Implement backup and recovery processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the IT environment
