Site Reliability Engineer

This role is onsite and suited to a junior to mid-level engineer looking to deepen automation and observability skills in a Linux and ELK Stack environment. - We require an active TS/SCI security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
- We ask for a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- We require Security+ certification.
- We want 2–5 years of experience in systems engineering, automation, DevOps, software development, or a similar technical function.
- We need hands-on experience with Linux operating systems such as RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or comparable distributions.
- We require strong Bash scripting skills for automation and systems administration.
- We expect experience with the ELK Stack, including Elasticsearch, Kibana dashboard development, and Logstash or comparable ingestion pipelines.
- We look for familiarity with system monitoring, log aggregation, and operational analytics.
- We value a solid understanding of networking fundamentals, operating systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
- We want strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Preferred: experience with Python or other scripting languages.
- Preferred: exposure to cloud or hybrid environments.
- Preferred: knowledge of CI/CD concepts and DevOps practices.
- Preferred: experience in DoD, Intelligence Community, or other classified environments.
- Preferred: Agile development experience.

- We develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automation solutions in Linux environments.
- We create and improve Bash scripts to automate system administration, application log collection, and metrics visualization.
- We build and sustain job orchestration tools for data flows.
- We design, implement, and maintain dashboards and visualizations in Kibana.
- We support Elasticsearch data ingestion, indexing, and search tuning.
- We monitor system performance and identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes.
- We partner with system administrators, developers, and mission stakeholders to gather needs and deliver solutions.
- We assist with log analysis, troubleshooting, and operational reporting.
- We document automation workflows, procedures, and technical configurations.
- We participate in system testing, deployment, and sustainment efforts.
- We contribute to ongoing improvements in monitoring, observability, and automation.
