FinOps / SAM Solutions Consultant

The Role

As a FinOps / SAM Solutions Consultant, you will work directly with customers to understand their operational and commercial challenges, configure the Yarken platform to meet their needs, and guide them through adoption and optimization initiatives.

You will also play a critical role internally by translating customer requirements into product improvements, helping define workflows, integrations, reporting capabilities, and automation opportunities.

This role sits at the intersection of consulting, solution engineering, customer success, and product strategy.

What You’ll Do

Customer Consulting & Advisory

• Lead customer workshops focused on FinOps, cloud optimization, software licensing, and SAM maturity.
• Advise customers on cloud governance, SaaS management, licensing optimization, and technology spend visibility.
• Translate customer business requirements into operational and technical platform configurations.
• Act as a trusted advisor for enterprise customers across procurement, finance, IT, and engineering stakeholders.
• Support customers with onboarding, adoption, optimization, and ongoing operational reviews.

Platform Configuration & Solution Delivery

• Configure the Yarken platform to align with customer workflows, reporting requirements, governance models, and business objectives.
• Assist with integrations, data mapping, tagging strategies, allocation models, and optimization frameworks.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to validate customer requirements and implementation approaches.
• Support proof-of-concepts, pilots, and technical demonstrations.
• Create reusable configuration standards, playbooks, and best practices.

Product Collaboration & Innovation

• Gather structured product feedback from customers and internal stakeholders.
• Help define new product capabilities, workflows, dashboards, and automation opportunities.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to prioritize enhancements based on customer impact and strategic value.
• Contribute domain expertise across FinOps, SAM, SaaS management, cloud optimization, and IT commercial operations.
• Help shape the long-term vision of the platform through practical customer insights.

Cross-Functional Support

• Support the sales team during discovery and solution alignment conversations.
• Assist with customer proposals, solution design, and business value discussions.
• Collaborate with Customer Success to improve adoption and retention outcomes.
• Contribute to enablement materials, implementation documentation, and operational processes.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in FinOps, Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), cloud optimization, or related consulting roles.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud.
• Experience with SaaS management, licensing optimization, or technology cost management.
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers in a consulting or solutions role.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical and operational solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in fast-moving environments with evolving products and customer needs.

Nice to Have

• FinOps Certified Practitioner or related certifications.
• Experience with enterprise tooling across ITSM, CMDB, ERP, procurement, or cloud management platforms.
• Knowledge of Microsoft, Oracle, VMware, SAP, Adobe, ServiceNow or other major licensing ecosystems.
• Experience with APIs, integrations, or data transformation workflows.
• Previous startup or SaaS experience.
