Job Description

We are AWS Infrastructure Services, the team responsible for designing, planning, delivering, and operating AWS global infrastructure, keeping the cloud running for customers worldwide. Our Data Center Infrastructure Reliability and Quality team focuses on the quality and reliability of critical infrastructure equipment across its full lifecycle, including design for reliability and design for quality for new product development, as well as sustaining the existing fleet by identifying systemic issues and driving root cause corrective actions. You will join a diverse, inclusive group of software, hardware, network, supply chain, security, and operations professionals, collaborating across AWS to deliver safety, security, and scalable capacity at the lowest possible cost. - We require experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, including process development and release schedule coordination.
- We require 7+ years of technical program management experience.
- We require 7+ years of experience in highly technical engineering roles focused on quality, design, or reliability for mechanical products.
- We require a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- We prefer 5+ years of project management experience covering scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path oversight.
- We prefer experience building sustainable processes and coordinating releases across multiple teams.
- We prefer experience defining KPIs and SLAs used to support multi-million-dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
- We prefer Lean Six Sigma experience.
- We prefer experience creating and managing program-level dashboards and reports using tools such as Smartsheet, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

- We lead end-to-end quality and reliability programs for highly complex, mission-critical mechanical and power generation products.
- We own qualification and sustaining efforts for critical infrastructure equipment throughout the product lifecycle.
- We manage the IRQ Engineering NPD portfolio across scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, risk, and reporting.
- We build and align technical reliability and quality evaluation plans with engineering teams.
- We partner with Quality and Reliability Engineering teams to standardize inputs and outputs globally.
- We coordinate with TPMs and Product Managers to align deliverables with major NPD milestones.
- We work with external partners such as reliability labs, OEMs, and contract manufacturers to support testing, qualification, and analysis.
- We ensure product reliability and quality readiness at each NPD gate.
- We own supplier readiness for NPD programs.
- We estimate and manage project budgets and help allocate resources with NPD teams.
- We track project timelines and provide bi-weekly progress updates to executive leadership and key partners.
- We develop and present program-level metrics and status reports on a regular cadence.
- We create business cases to help internal and external leaders choose the most effective approach for quality and reliability management.
- We remove roadblocks, drive internal coordination, and strengthen end-to-end team processes and mechanisms.
