AWS cloud infrastructure engineer

We are eager to find a hands-on AWS engineer to contribute to our secure environment buildout and cloud migration efforts within a TS environment. This role offers the opportunity to engage in crucial projects in AWS, working closely with security teams to maintain compliance and enhance system security. We provide a hybrid remote work arrangement based in Arlington, VA, and offer competitive pay between $70.00 and $90.00 per hour.

- Active TS/SCI security clearance is mandatory
- Availability to work onsite in the DMV area 2-3 days per week
- Experience in supporting federal or DoD environments
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps, etc.) are preferred
- Experience in GovCloud or classified cloud settings is beneficial
- Familiarity with DevSecOps or Zero Trust architecture is advantageous

- Construct and set up AWS infrastructure within secure classified environments
- Assist in cloud migration initiatives from on-premises systems to AWS
- Execute infrastructure as code utilizing Terraform and CloudFormation
- Set up networking, identity and access management (IAM), security controls, and monitoring systems
- Partner with security teams to ensure compliance and system hardening
