Senior DevOps Engineer - Augusta @ HII Mission Technologies Division

Salary: $143,507 - 205,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a current TS/SCI security clearance with CI Polygraph, along with U.S. citizenship.
• We require 15+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or software development with a bachelors degree in a related field, or 13 years of relevant experience with a masters degree, or a high school diploma/equivalent with 19 years of relevant experience.
• We need strong Linux expertise, including system administration and troubleshooting.
• We require hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• We need knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, EBS, S3, and Lambda for infrastructure deployment and administration.
• We require experience with application and operating system deployment, scaling, and maintenance.
• We need the ability to develop in multiple programming languages, such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• We require familiarity with Git, Flux, and related development toolchains.
• We need excellent analytical skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• We require strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• We need familiarity with Agile software development practices and standard development tool suites.
• We require DoD 8140/8570 compliance certification, such as Security+, or the ability to earn it before start date.
• We require the ability to work on customer site in Augusta, GA five days per week and adapt to schedule changes as needed.
• We prefer experience with big data platforms and tools such as Hadoop, Spark, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, and Presto.
• We prefer experience with containers, EKS, Diode, CI/CD, and Terraform.

Responsibilities:

• We support the design and deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS.
• We support the buildout and deployment of non-cloud edge infrastructure, including on-premise and portable systems.
• We automate release and deployment workflows to improve stability, speed, and repeatability.
• We manage Kubernetes containers and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• We partner with development teams to integrate their applications into our infrastructure environment.
• We monitor, diagnose, and resolve production system issues as they arise.
• We continually refine our processes and toolsets to improve availability and performance.
• We stay informed on emerging technologies and industry developments to identify opportunities for infrastructure improvements.
• We perform additional duties as assigned.
