This Lead Cloud Engineer role sits on our Cloud Engineering team and helps accelerate trust, agility, and adoption across our business teams. We offer a competitive total rewards package, including base pay, potential bonus and long-term incentives, along with benefits. The base pay range for this position is $122,100 to $162,800.
- We require a degree or equivalent experience, typically supported by 10+ years of relevant background; a masters or doctorate may reduce the years needed.
- We look for at least 8+ years in a software engineering or infrastructure role within a cloud, PaaS, and DevOps setting.
- We expect 5+ years of full-stack software development or SRE experience.
- We need 5+ years of hands-on experience with DevOps, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Artifactory, and application deployment to Kubernetes.
- We require deep expertise in software engineering practices, including DevOps, GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and environment/configuration automation.
- We prefer experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or GCP.
- We need experience delivering cloud automation, configuration management, and enterprise-scale infrastructure as code using Ansible, Terraform, and Python.
- We require strong knowledge of security processes, standards, and issues in multi-tier cloud or hybrid applications, including data privacy, compliance, and network, application, and information security principles.
- We prefer software development experience with React, TypeScript, Backstage, Node.js, and JavaScript.
- We prefer Microsoft Azure, GCP, or Kubernetes certifications.
- We value experience working in Agile environments and on scrum teams.
- We lead the development of multiple complex cloud automation initiatives, CI/CD pipelines for cloud infrastructure and applications, cloud-native application blueprints, and automation at scale.
- We collaborate with application development teams and cloud/application architects to build scalable, reliable, fully automated CI/CD pipelines.
- We design, build, and operate our Integrated Developer Platform to speed application delivery through gated CI/CD pipeline templates and build/release automation.
- We design and strengthen DevOps processes while driving automation across our cloud platforms and Developer Portal.
- We apply programming skills to create DevOps tooling across various infrastructure platforms.
- We communicate, coordinate, and work closely with peers in Cloud Engineering and broader technology groups to plan and execute resource plans effectively.
