Skills & Competencies
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, data operations, cloud billing, or a reporting/analytics support role
- Strong attention to detail and data management skills, including excellent data hygiene practices, working with large datasets, and identifying anomalies
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouses, Dataflows, Pipelines) for ingesting and transforming cloud/SaaS usage data at scale
- Experience with cloud cost reporting and financial data environments, including exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP billing exports
- SQL proficiency for data extraction, transformation, and reporting, along with experience using BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Looker, Tableau, or similar)
- Familiarity with FinOps concepts (tagging, chargeback, showback, rightsizing, reserved instance management) and exposure to IT asset management or software license tracking processes
- Strong written English communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-timezone environments with US-based stakeholders, preferably within financial services, technology, or other data-intensive industries
- Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field 
- FinOps Certified Practitioner and/or FOCUS Training & Certification - preferred
Responsibilities
Manage FinOps data, ensure billing accuracy, deliver reporting, enforce tagging, reconcile invoices, track optimizations, support ad‑hoc requests, and maintain documentation.
- Understand, manage, and maintain the FinOps data schema — including cloud billing data structures across AWS, Azure, and GCP — ensuring consistent field definitions, cost allocation hierarchies, and data integrity across reporting cycles 
- Produce slide-ready reporting materials, dashboards, and cost summaries for BU reviews, exec reporting, and ad-hoc leadership requests 
- Maintain and enforce cloud resource tagging and mapping rules; identify and remediate untagged or mis-tagged resources 
- Perform invoice reconciliation for cloud and SaaS vendors — matching billing data against contracts, identifying discrepancies, and flagging for resolution 
- Support pre-production QA and data validation on all reporting outputs before delivery to senior stakeholders 
- Track optimization initiative progress (rightsizing, reserved instance coverage, license utilization) and update tracking registers 
- Respond to ad-hoc data requests from the License & AI Governance Analyst and Senior FinOps Analyst with accurate, well-formatted outputs 
- Maintain team documentation, SOPs, and data dictionaries to ensure process continuity

This role sits within the FinOps & Technology Finance function, partnering closely with technology, finance, and engineering stakeholders across the organization. The team focuses on driving cost transparency, governance, and optimization across enterprise software and emerging AI tooling, enabling the business to scale responsibly while maximizing value from its technology investments.
