Senior Web Developer with DevOps/SRE skills

We are currently looking for a Senior Web Developer to play a key role in our expanding client projects, and we offer a hybrid/remote work option based out of Connecticut. - 5+ years of professional web development experience - Strong expertise in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and React - Proficient PHP and WordPress development skills - Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL database design and enhancement - Familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative workflows - Knowledge of security best practices and performance optimization - Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently - Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients - Preferred but not mandatory: - Experience with containerization (Docker) and cloud solutions (preferably AWS) - Basic knowledge of Kubernetes/EKS or willingness to learn - DevOps mindset including CI/CD, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code - Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles - Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) - Previous experience in an MSP or agency serving diverse clients - Nice to have: - AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer) - Experience with streaming data or healthcare systems (HL7) - Automation/scripting skills in Python or Go - Familiarity with observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana) - Develop and maintain custom web applications using contemporary frameworks and best practices - Create WordPress solutions for clients on managed hosting - Design scalable and efficient web systems from initial concept to deployment - Work with clients to translate business requirements into technical solutions - Conduct code evaluations and provide mentorship to junior developers - Manage projects from requirements gathering to production launch - Additional growth opportunities for qualified candidates: - Participate in development of our AWS/EKS infrastructure - Engage in cloud optimization and monitoring enhancements - Assist in deployment automation and CI/CD improvements
