This role supports IRIS databases that underpin critical Epic systems used across care delivery and health plan operations. The position sits within our IT Engineering organization and involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders, cross-functional IT teams, architects, engineering partners, and external vendors as we deliver secure, scalable, enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions.

- We require at least 3 years of experience planning, designing, and implementing security solutions, including 2 years working with the configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, and operation of security technologies.
- We require at least 1 year of experience in a technical leadership capacity, with or without direct people management.
- We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related discipline, plus at least 6 years of experience in an IT operations environment with technical exposure to distributed technologies, systems development, and/or networking.
- We may consider equivalent work experience in place of the degree requirement.

- We plan, design, and build database systems that are stable, recoverable, and integrated with other technology platforms for secure and efficient data use.
- We support IRIS databases on Linux across on-premises and cloud environments.
- We install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade databases, including patches, fixes, security updates, and incident resolution.
- We participate in an on-call rotation and support time-sensitive production needs.
- We work with vendors such as Epic and Kyndryl and use tools like Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS).
- We contribute to enterprise initiatives such as instance consolidations.
- We apply DevOps, Waterfall, and Agile methods to deliver resilient, secure, high-volume solutions across cloud and on/off-premise environments.
- We review team deliverables and help coordinate work plans, schedules, and resource assignments.
- We translate business and functional needs into technical specifications and consult with business analysts, architects, and engineering teams.
- We provide technical guidance on infrastructure planning, architecture, troubleshooting, and solution options, including risks, costs, and benefits.
- We evaluate existing systems, recommend capacity and service improvements, and ensure designs align with architecture standards.
- We lead implementation activities and document standards, processes, and procedures for new and existing services.
